MEDLITE C6 Laser
The MedLite C6 laser is a non-invasive, FDA-approved procedure for skin rejuvenation that uses a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. This laser utilizes multiple wavelengths and Q-switched nanosecond technology, to effectively treat a wide range of aesthetic concerns. MedLite C6 pioneered the use of Photo Acoustic technology, the hallmark of which is high peak power and short pulse duration. By using high-speed energy waves that penetrate the skin in nanoseconds, the MedLite C6 laser reduces the amount of heat in each procedure as compared to the more commonly used PhotoThermal laser treatments provide a targeted laser toning treatment for skin rejuvenation.
Metlite C6 rejuvenation works by remodelling the collagen and elastin network thus restoring the skin strength and elasticity. The Medlite C6 utilizes PhotoAcoustic technology which means the laser delivers strong levels off energy within short pulse durations. The beam of energy produced targets pigmented skin and collagen and destroys the pigmentation. Since the Medlite C6 only targets pigmented skin / tattoo ink, the rest of the surrounding skin is unharmed.
QUICK FACTS OF THE MEDLITE LASER
WHY CHOOSE THE MEDLITE C6 LASER ?
Med Lite C6 laser also has a strong reputation, due to its unmatched Precision Beam Technology, which is delivered through its homogenous, flat-top beam profile that gives an even energy distribution, without spikes or hot spots. It’s a fast and simple procedure that’s easy to tolerate and requires little-to-no downtime.
We provide consistent results with fewer complications from a 15 minute laser procedure which last about 3 to 4 weeks giving skin a finer, smoother, brighter and youthful complexion .The Med Lite C6 laser is also highly effective on almost all patient skin types, especially for Asian skin tones.
Consistent and regular treatments can also result in a slowing down of the aging process as damage caused by sun exposure and the environment are corrected and collagen and elastin levels are boosted.
How MedLite C6 Laser Work?
The Medlite C6 utilizes an electro-optic (EO) Q-Switch platform. The Q-Switch acts as a high-speed shutter, holding energy until enough has been stored until peak power has been reached. When energy levels are at the desired level, the laser will produce its peak power output of 200 megawatts. The shutter capability allows the laser to deliver this energy in 5-20 nanosecond pulse widths. The targeted chromophores in the pigmented literally vibrate and shatter when hit by this flattop beam of energy.
MedLite C6 Laser Before and After
Frequently Asked Question
What can be treated with the Medlite C6 laser?
How does metlite c6 help to get rid of unwanted pigment?
The MedLite C6 Laser is one of the most technologically advanced lasers for the treatment of pigmented lesions. MedLite C6 Laser is a Q Switch Nd: YAG Laser which emits energy in the form of light of the wavelength of 1064nm. This energy specifically targets melanin and is absorbed by melanin, thus destroying the unwanted pigment.
What types of pigmented lesion does metlite c6 treats?
The MedLite C6 Laser is most commonly used for removing brown age spots, “liver spots”, freckles and other dark birthmarks, such as café-au-lait spots and Nevus of Ota. We will identify your specific type of lesion and discuss the removal success rate associated with your condition during your consultation with us.
How many times do I need to undergo met lite c6 undergoes?
The treatment plan would be discussed with you during your consultation. Different pigmented lesions respond to different amount of treatment sessions. It is fair to say between 4-6 sessions for a simple treatment for skin toning to up to more than 20 sessions for a multi-colored tattoo.
Is the process painful?
Absolutely not! The MedLite C6 Laser emits light in short pulses. The impact of the energy from the power pulse of light is similar to the snap of a thin rubber band. Immediately after the treatment, the area will feel slightly warm. Typically, any discomforts, if at all, would resolve within an hour. There is no downtime whatsoever.
What type of post care necessary?
There is NO downtime in the sense of having to take leave and/or stay indoors after the procedure. There is no requirement for you to stay indoors or avoid cosmetic application afterward. One of the most important things to avoid is UV radiation from sun exposure, especially immediately after the procedure. You are advised to apply sunblock every 6hours when outdoors and avoid outdoor exposure especially during the peak sunlight hours of the day.
What will my skin look like after treatment?
Immediately after the procedure, the skin may appear mildly red for 24 to 48 hours, and can sometimes flake a little, although in most cases there is no downtime. However, pigmentation and dark spots would appear faded even after the first session. Ideally 4 to 6 sessions is advised for optimal results
What are the possible side effects?
There are no marked side effects, however some may experience skin redness, bumps ,tingling feeling during the procedure and photo-induced hyperpigmentation albeit it being a rare instance.
