What is it?
Eyebrow regrowth – similar to hair loss treatment procedures – is a procedure that reconstructs the eyebrows. The treatment is able to construct a natural-looking brand new eyebrow or, depending on the damage, it is able to reconstruct an eyebrow to fill it out and it get it back to its best form.
It is the perfect solution for those who have destroyed their eyebrows due to things such as excessive plucking or genetics – resulting in the thinning of eyebrow hairs. It is also highly recommended for those who have scars on or around the eyebrows as hair would not grow in the scarred regions.
How does it work?
The process requires donor hair to be removed from the back area of the scalp via a micro-surgical device. The device isolates every single hair follicle which is then securely placed aside. The area being treated (the eyebrows) is anaesthetised to reduce the feeling of pain for the patient. Another micro-surgical device, an implanter, aids in the implantation of every donor hair precisely. This process ensures that the donor hairs will grow to look very natural.
The complete healing of both the scalp and the eyebrows will take approximately a week, and the new eyebrows will begin to grow within 3 to 6 months after the procedure.
Are there any side effects?
Post-treatment, there is a risk of developing an infection as the areas that were treated take some time to heal. However, this problem is easily solved with the prescription of a 4-day course of antibiotics to prevent any possible infection from occurring. To prevent the swelling of the treated areas, you can ask your doctor for specific medication.
